Description
Summary:The focus here on public approaches applied to primary care fails to answer the key issue for many primary care professionals of how to apply the approaches outlined in this book in their daily working lives - in other words, what would be given up in terms of daily patient care to address the wider issues of population health. The final two chapters, covering education and training and future developments are, for me, the most interesting and begin to touch on some of the reasons why public health and primary care do not yet seem to be playing the same game (or perhaps are on the same pitch, but with different shaped balls).
