Description
Summary:Methods Central systolic blood pressure (cSBP), peripheral systolic blood pressure (pSBP), peripheral diastolic blood pressure (pDBP) and serum hsCRP levels were attained on a bi-racial (black-white) cohort of 735 individuals (mean age 44.7 years, 57% female, 70% white) part of the Bogalusa Heart Study. cSBP was obtained by applanation tonometry of the radial artery, using the Omron HEM9000AI instrument, whereas pSBP and pDBP were assessed by a standard oscillometric technique.
