Summary:We propose a method for prediction of the residual longevity of reinforced concrete beam structural members based on fracture mechanics. We derive analytic relations, analyze them, and compare the results obtained with experimental data and results of calculations according to normative documents. We also develop a model of corrosion degradation, allowing one to estimate the residual service life of reinforced concrete structures in corrosive environments.
