Summary:Jesus' action against the money changers was inspired by John the Baptist's program of urgent, radical religious reform, because the frequency and coinage of the temple tax gave great offense to some observant Jews. The temple sayings, if authentic, were spoken much later when Jesus' perception of his role in the execution of the plan of salvation had altered. L'intervention de Jésus contre les changeurs s'inspirait du programme de Jean-Baptiste : une réforme religieuse urgente et radicale, parce que la fréquence et la nature monétaire de la taxe du temple constituait une grave offense pour certains Juifs observants. Les paroles prononcées au temple, si elles sont authentiques, datent de bien plus tard quand la perception qu'eut Jésus de son rôle dans l'accomplisement du plan de salut se fut modifiée.
