Summary: | Dear Editor, Caudal epidural block is an adjunct to general anesthesia to provide postoperative analgesia particularly in pediatric patients undergoing infraumbilical, perineal and lower extremity surgery [1]. The patient was placed on left lateral position while continuing bag-mask ventilation and a 20G IV catheter was inserted into caudal area after sterile preparation of the site. The family did not report any problem during phone call visit at Day 1 and outpatient clinic visit at Day 3.2 Discussion The patients developing accidental subdural block must be closely monitored and cardiovascular as well as respiratory support must be provided if sensorial block develops [2]. |
