Summary: | [...]to the beginning of our mapping project, where borders were labelled in the 3D-reconstructed data set of histological sections (resolution 1 mm isotropic), the borders are now labelled in high-resolution images of the histological sections before 3D-reconstruction. [...]scans of histological section with an in-plane resolution of 20[mu]m and an image size of approx. 7000x6000 pixels were acquired (approximately 500 images per brain). All contour lines of already existing and ongoing mapping projects were transferred to these new images. Since the spatial resolution of the MRIs (fixed brain and in vivo reference brain) is lower than that of the histological sections, images of the sections containing contour lines of brain structures have to be downscaled. |
