Summary:Many side events and less formal programmes were held during the week, including on topics such as climate change and human rights, environmental and human rights defenders, coral reefs, the development work of faith-based organisations, environment and displacement, green chemistry, investment, marine litter, Principle 10, and the right to a healthy environment. After long negotiations, during which it became evident that there was a real danger of moving backwards in terms of transparency and public participation, delegates agreed to abandon the efforts for the time being.
