Inside Cover: High-Nuclear Organometallic Copper(I)-Alkynide Clusters: Thermochromic Near-Infrared Luminescence and Solution Stability (Chem. Eur. J. 49/2016)

The comproportionation reaction between Cu2+ and Cu in the presence of a tert‐butylacetylene ligand gives two high‐nuclear CuI clusters. This process exemplifies a new synthetic protocol for the preparation of high‐nuclear CuI–alkynyl clusters. The clusters show an unusual emissive phenomenon with s...

Description
Summary:The comproportionation reaction between Cu2+ and Cu in the presence of a tert‐butylacetylene ligand gives two high‐nuclear CuI clusters. This process exemplifies a new synthetic protocol for the preparation of high‐nuclear CuI–alkynyl clusters. The clusters show an unusual emissive phenomenon with simultaneous changes in the NIR and thermochromic luminescence properties. More information can be found in the Full Paper by D.
