Summary: | The United Arab Emirates, has got a very unique, exceptional, and swift development in the past few decades and a success story to portrait in the Middle East region, which is characterized not only by the prosperous economy, and extensive and modern infrastructure but also with sincere and robust efforts to empower its people as cohorts and contributors in the 'making of UAE'. Strategic initiatives of the Federal Government to open new avenues of occupation for the educated women played a significant role in empowering the Emirati Women in a transitional society like UAE to induce social transformation. The government's efforts to intensify 'Emiratization' to increase the number of Emirati talent across its educational institutions received an overwhelming response from the Emirati women population. The Federal government and its supporting systems are determined and striving hard to advance its women educators, who will be the torch bearers of the economic and industrial growth of UAE, with a very well developed educator development program, and it's a joint effort among the government, different education councils, residency and Emiratization councils, and public universities. The main purpose of this research is to identify the strategic partners and to undertakes a detailed investigation of their contributing initiatives, programs, and practices of the partners to develop and empower female academics, and use this information to develop a 'Conceptual model of developing and empowering female academics in UAE'. It's also addressing how other government and non-government systems supporting and complementing these initiatives. |
