Summary:The tourism industry has been for decades the fundamental generator of Spain's Gross Domestic Product. In order for the country to continue remaining a tourist destination, it is necessary to continue being competitive at an international level. Here, Rodriguez-Anton et al provide new perspectives about resources, utilize model to measure the degree of touristic competitiveness of the countries within the European Union and suggest performance measures to increase the degree of touristic competitiveness of Spain internationally.
