Summary: | Research activity makes up an important aspect of postgraduate medical and dental training. Research promotes critical thinking, reasoning and rational decision making among the researchers. Quality research work requires a healthy research environment. In addition, a positive attitude of trainees towards undertaking and carrying out research cannot be overemphasized. However, not all residents are keen to carry out research along with their clinical training. This study aimed to assess the attitude of postgraduate residents towards research and to investigate the barriers preventing the residents from engaging in research. |
