TGF-[beta] pathway activation primes naïve lymphocytes to support atopic phenotypes in humans

Conclusions TGF-β can promote IL-4/IL4Rα/GATA3 axis activation in human T cells in vitro, and enhanced lymphocyte-intrinsic TGF-β activity is associated with elevated Th2 cytokine-expressing memory cells and serum IgE in humans.
