Summary: | This paper aims to put forward the views of students and lecturers who take part in EMI teaching/learning processes in order to understand the perceived challenges and use that information to improve the quality of the Business Law module to be developed. Recent developments in EMI in other countries and academic contexts will be analyzed (for example, EMI in the Nordic countries) and a set of recommendations will be made. The mechanism of legal education in English will be then discussed, with particular reference to this process as it unfolds in the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. This action research-based study will highlight the importance of teachers' self-perception adjusted to new approaches. What is more, initiating change in the teaching-learning context these academics operate in might be a justified conclusion and the main arguments to support or dismiss it will be presented. |
