Summary: | Propagation of magnetostatic surface waves (MSSW) in yttrium-iron-garnet films deposited by ion-beam evaporation on silicon substrates and consisting of two layers-the buffer layer and the main layer-was studied. It is shown that exchange coupling and surface spin pinning at the interface of the main and buffer layers can enhance nonreciprocity of MSSW propagation and can result in the appearance of anomalous regions in the dispersion curves caused by spin-wave resonances across the film thickness. |
