Summary: | A study was carried out on the liquid-phase aerobic oxidation of a naphthene–paraffin concentrate of a diesel petroleum fraction with boiling point 217-349 °C in the presence of pentanuclear chromium and cobalt complexes and their mixtures with chromium and cobalt salts of natural petroleum acids. The yield of naphthenic acids was found to depend on the activity of the catalysts and their composition. In all cases, the reaction of the catalyst with a petroleum hydrocarbon was accompanied by the formation of nano- and micro-sized structures, i.e., these catalytic systems under the reaction conditions are liquid systems containing nano- and micro-sized particles, which are products of the reaction of the starting chromium and/or cobalt compound taken as the catalyst with the oxidation reaction products. |
