Description
Summary:An efficient tricomponent reaction between barbituric acid (or N , N -dimethylbarbituric acid), 4-hydroxycoumarin, and a wide range of aryl aldehydes to obtain novel benzylbarbiturocoumarins is described. Starting materials were successfully condensed via three C–C bond formation by graphene oxide nanosheets as an efficient, metal-free, environmentally safe, and recyclable nanocatalyst to obtain target products. The target products were obtained with high selectivities and yields (80–88 %) in H 2 O/EtOH (1:1) in the presence of graphene oxide nanosheets (0.005 g) at 80 °C. Graphical abstract
