Summary:The Sc(III)-containing monomers and their (co)polymers has been first prepared and characterized. The composition and structure of the synthesized metal-containing monomers and (co)polymers examined by elemental analysis, IR and 13 C-NMR spectroscopy. The thermal behavior of Sc(III)—containing monomers and (co)polymers was explored by DSC, DTA, TGA and mass spectrometry. It is shown that the obtained crosslinked copolymers exhibit a high thermal stability, have a porous structure with a developed system of micro- and mesopores, which may be of interest for their template-based customized sorbents for concentration and extraction of scandium.
