Summary:New approach to processing of the apatite concentrate is suggested and substantiated. The approach includes treatment of the concentrate with a phosphoric acid solution at room temperature in the presence of a sulfo cation exchanger in the NH 4 + or H + form. The phosphoric acid solution and the sorbent saturated with metal cations are separated and processed into target products by the known methods. The advantages and disadvantages of the approach are discussed.
