Summary:Detailed analysis of the dynamics and structure of wastes presented in this article confirms that industry is the main polluter of the environment, especially black, colored, coal, oil-refining, chemical industries as well as automotive transport and agricultural production. Consequently, ecological safety and environmental protection should be ensured by the state through ecological certification of industrial enterprises, rationing, and limiting waste and emissions imposing fees for the use of natural resources and pollution of the environment, implementation of state environmental monitoring and control etc.
