Summary:We analyze the fields of application of ultrasonic and hydrodynamic generators of cavitation fields, in particular, for the physicomechanical processes. The efficiency of development of the cavitation phenomena for different design-basis parameters of a jet cavitator is evaluated by two methods: the calorimetric method and the method of acoustochemical analysis. We establish the design-basis features of the cavitator (the number and diameter of nozzles, the angles between them, etc.) for which it is possible to guarantee the maximum possible conversion of the kinetic energy of jets of an aqueous medium into the thermal energy, which expresses the total energy effect of realization of the physicomechanical and physicochemical processes and phenomena in the cavitation field.
