Description
Summary:First-time parenthood sounds too easy, why not make a whole bunch of additional, fundamental lifestyle changes and become EcoParents instead. Brave or stupid -- maybe a bit of both -- that's how the author did it. Of course, it makes perfect sense. The arrival of a first child is a moment of incredible re-evaluation and revaluation of, well, just about everything. That fragile little face in front of you has the capacity to take you beyond your own desires, beyond your previously set-in-stone ways. And that's precisely the moment when really good things can happen inside a person: when you cease to be, in the immortal lyrics of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, just "lookin' out for #1." The truth is, EcoParenting is a journey, not a destination. In fact, becoming is at the very heart of an ecolifestyle.
