Summary: | Miller details the legacy of attorney Gibson Gayle Jr and his professionalism. Gayle Jr was born and raised in Waco. He served in the Army in World War II, and after the war, he completed a six-year joint degree program and graduated from Baylor Law School. After scoring the highest grade on the Bar Exam up until that time, he joined the Houston law firm of Fulbright, Crooker, Freeman & Bates as its forty-third lawyer in 1950. That firm is now known as Norton Rose Fulbright and has more than 3800 lawyers. It is one of the largest law firms in the world, thanks in no small part to Gib's leadership as managing partner from 1979 until 1992. |
