The Effects of Intra-Articular Injection of Ibuprofen on Knee Joint Cartilage and Synovium in Rats

Background Intra-articular non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs are used for pain relief after knee surgery. Methods Forty-six Wistar rats (250-300g) were included (40 ibuprofen/6 sham) in accordance with the ethical guidelines.
