Some methods have also been reported for the determination of TNZ in combination with other drugs including spectrophotometric, capillary electrophoresis and differential pulse polarography [7].Literature survey revealed that spectrophotometric and HPLC methods have been reported for the estimation of OFL and TNZ in pharmaceutical formulations [8-11]. Preparation of phthalate buffer 1.020g of potassium hydrogen phthalate was dissolved in little amount of water and the ph of the solution was adjusted to ph3.6by the addition of 0.1M Hcl. Recoveries obtained do not differ significantly from 100% showed that there was no interference from the common excipients used in the tablet formulation indicating accuracy and reliability of the method [Table 7]. The sample recoveries in all formulation were in good agreement with their respective label claims without the interference of excipients and the other additives.
