The paper addresses gaps that exist in many traditional principal preparation programs and provides an alternative model, which instills key business skills, and competencies that will allow principals to serve as exemplary school leaders. The paper provides a description of the program development process, program highlights, courses, program structure, faculty selection criteria, admissions and selection process, and executive coaching.
