Summary:The product of the reaction of methacrylic acid with trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether was prepared. The interaction of the epoxy groups of this product with silanol groups on the surface of silicic acid filler was confirmed and studied by IR spectroscopy. Properties of vulcanized rubbers prepared using the filler modified with the product obtained were studied. This product appreciably decreases the viscosity of rubber blends with the silicic acid filler.
