Summary: | Methods: COhort BRonchial obstruction and Asthma (COBRA) is a prospective cohort study of patients with asthma at French tertiary care centers, followed-up every 6 months for 10 years. At study inclusion, patients eligible for benralizumab had a lower pre-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 second (69.8% of predicted value [standard deviation {SD} 18.3] vs. 74.4% [SD 22.9]) and less effective asthma control (optimal in 4.7% vs. 19.5%; Asthma Control Test scores 11.2 [SD 4.5] vs. 13.2 [SD 5.8]), compared with patients who did not meet the eligibility criteria for benralizumab treatment. |
