Summary: | Case Report: A 43-year-old female with history of morbid obesity and anemia secondary to fibroids was recently diagnosed with right ovarian vein thrombosis, treated with apixaban for 6 months, switched to lovenox due to further extension of perceived thrombus to the IVC on imaging. Discussion: Endometrial stromal cell sarcoma is a rare entity, comprising only 1% of all malignant uterine neoplasms (1). Because these malignancies mimic proliferative endometrium (2), the biopsy originally obtained from the uterine mass was initially classified as uterine leiomyoma. |
