D27 I WANNA BE YOUR ... NOVEL MECHANISTIC INSIGHT INTO PULMONARY VASCULAR DISEASE: Loss Of Wnt5a Disrupts Endothelial-Pericyte Interactions In Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

A novel conditional endothelial specific Wnt5a knockout ( Wnt5aEC/EC) mouse model was generated to assess impact of Wnt5a deficiency on hypoxia induced pulmonary hypertension. Results: Characterization of Wnt/PCP gene expression in healthy PMVECs and pericytes alone and in co-culture revealed that P...

Description
Summary:A novel conditional endothelial specific Wnt5a knockout ( Wnt5aEC/EC) mouse model was generated to assess impact of Wnt5a deficiency on hypoxia induced pulmonary hypertension. Results: Characterization of Wnt/PCP gene expression in healthy PMVECs and pericytes alone and in co-culture revealed that PMVECs produced Wnt5a (a Wnt ligand) only when these cells are in close proximity.
