C78 FIBROSIS: MEDIATORS AND MODULATORS: Bleomycin Induced Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition In Mice

In vitro, it has been already shown that BLM induced EMT via the TGF-ß/Smad signaling pathway in human alveolar epithelial cells.· However, implication of EMT in BLM-induced lung fibrosis in mice has not been fully clarified. Aim Our aim is to examine epithelial and mesenchymal markers, phospho-Smad...

Description
Summary:In vitro, it has been already shown that BLM induced EMT via the TGF-ß/Smad signaling pathway in human alveolar epithelial cells.· However, implication of EMT in BLM-induced lung fibrosis in mice has not been fully clarified. Aim Our aim is to examine epithelial and mesenchymal markers, phospho-Smad2, and TGFß-induced transcriptional factor in the lungs of BLM-treated mice by immunohistochemical analysis and quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR).
