D25 UNUSUAL INFECTIONS: CASE REPORTS: Flow Cytometric Immune Profiling In A Patient With Culture-Negative Tuberculosis

Recent data suggest that detection of co-expression of surface markers CD25 (a subunit of IL-2 receptor) and OX40 (CD134, a TNFa receptor) by flow cytometry (FC) can accurately identify antigen-specific effector CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell activation in LTBI and also in immunosuppressed TB patients. Specif...

Description
Summary:Recent data suggest that detection of co-expression of surface markers CD25 (a subunit of IL-2 receptor) and OX40 (CD134, a TNFa receptor) by flow cytometry (FC) can accurately identify antigen-specific effector CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell activation in LTBI and also in immunosuppressed TB patients. Specifically, peripheral blood mononuclear cells were separated with a FICOLL™ method and stimulated with specific (RDl-peptides) and purified protein derivate (PPD) antigens and controls.
