Summary: | Case Report: An afebrile, hemodynamically stable 29 year old man with no past medical history presented with one day of small volume frank hemoptysis, and a chest radiograph (CXR) demonstrated patchy diffuse bilateral infiltrates (image below, top panel). To our knowledge this is the first report of hemoptysis associated with casual SC consumption. Because synthetic marijuana is undetectable by commercially available assays, timely diagnosis and management depend on the clinical history and a high index of suspicion. |
