A55 CRITICAL CARE: SIRS, QSOFA, SEPSIS - WHAT'S IN A NAME?: Does The Inflammatory Response Differ In Septic And Non-Septic Insults?
METHODS Male Sprague-Dawley rats (weight 355-400 grams) were used. CONCLUSIONS The systemic response (hypotension) and distant organ (lung) inflammatory response differs in a septic (CLP) and in a non-septic (intestinal ischemia) insult of comparable severity (same mortality).
