Summary:Rationale There is increasing awareness of the role of the tumor-draining lymph node (TDLN) as an early site of both immune activation and evasion by non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC). Furthermore, differences in surface marker expression and T-cell subpopulations in the TDLN may serve as biomarkers for the early identification of nodal tumor metastasis as well as potential for response to local and systemic immunotherapies.
