Summary: | [...]the role of Ang-2 in pneumonia-induced hyperinflammation needs to be elucidated. [...]we newly established an inducible Ang-2-knockout (KO) mouse model (because constitutive Ang-2 deletion can result in early postnatal vascular and lymphatic damage) and investigated the impact of Ang-2 on pulmonary endothelial barrier function. Compared to WT mice, Ang-2-KO mice had reduced Ang-2-mRNA levels in lung tissue and isolated LECs, decreased Ang-2-plasma levels and less pulmonary Ang-2 expression after in vivo tamoxifen injection. |
