Summary: | Intervention regarding coping with stress living with severe lung disease may decrease distress (symptoms of anxiety and depression) and increase physical function. Methods: As part of their routine assessments before transplantation, 97 lung transplant candidates (mean age 54.9 years, females 46.5% ) were evaluated with Ways of Coping Questionnaire (WOC) assessing 8 different coping strategies and General Hospital Health Questionnaire 30 (GHQ 30) measuring distress during the preceding two weeks. |
