Summary: | Rationale: It has been documented by computed tomography (CT) and autopsies findings that patients with Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD) associated to biomass exposure (BS-COPD) may have a predominance of small airway affection in comparison to subjects with CODP associated to tobacco smoking (TS-COPD). Results: Significant correlations between the post-bronchodilator FEV1 response (both in mL and %p) with R%(Hz) among women with BS-COPD (r= -0.299, -0.256, -0.267, -0.285), (p=0.023, 0.009, 0.043, 0.008), but not for the TS-COPD group. |
