Description
Summary:This study sought to analyze how economic growth, international trade, emissions of CO2 and welfare vary in the presence and absence of embodied technological spillovers in two regions Brazil and countries of Annex I of Kyoto Protocol. The results showed that technological spillovers positively affected the Brazilian economic performance; however, there was no effect on levels of social welfare and CO2 emissions. This suggests that the technical progress alone is not able to contain the anthropic pressure on the atmosphere
