Mössbauer studies of the formation of Cr-doped cementite during mechanochemical synthesis and subsequent annealings

The structure, parameters of hyperfine interactions, and localization of Cr atoms in mechanically alloyed and annealed cement (Cr-doped compounds (Fe 1– X Cr X )3C, where X = (0.01–0.10)) are studied by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and magnetic measurements. It is shown that t...

Description
Summary:The structure, parameters of hyperfine interactions, and localization of Cr atoms in mechanically alloyed and annealed cement (Cr-doped compounds (Fe 1– X Cr X )3C, where X = (0.01–0.10)) are studied by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and magnetic measurements. It is shown that the distribution of Cr atoms in annealed cementite is quite close to statistically homogeneous.
