Determining the relaxation constants of a molecular gas in a continuous laser field

The processes of collisional relaxation in 13 CH 3 F polar gas are considered, and the nonmonotonous character of the dependence of the signal of delayed optical nutations on the duration of the Stark field is explained. A damping constant is introduced for the matrix of optical coherence.
