Summary:Chianese discusses the perspective on how to unresolve the dilemma of keeping the near-wild lions in the midst out of backyards and motorways in order to preserve them and maintain their wildness. The potential impact of California Wildlife Protection Act, a ballot initiative which voted to protect the Californians' big cats and to outlaw trophy hunting of mountain lions is mentioned. The increasing fragmented habitat which threatened the long-term survival of mountain lions in and around the Santa Monica Mountains reion in Los Angeles and the two-way access created the increasing connectivity between mountain lion populations are mentioned.
