Rectal perforation by retroflexion of the colonoscope managed by endoclip closure

The perforation was treated with the placement of four Resolution® Clips obtaining total closure of the tear (Fig. 2). Because the patient demonstrated no signs of abdominal distress, an immediate obstruction series was obtained, which revealed no pneumoperitoneum.
