Summary:An abstract of a study by Podgurski et al demonstrating the feasibility and acceptability of a communication skills training workshop for gynecologic oncology (GO) providers and evaluating the impact of the training on perceived preparedness to address communication challenges and anticipated impact on clinical practice is presented. Participants showed statistically-significant increase in perceived preparedness for 13 out of 14 challenging communication scenarios described in the pre-post questionnaire.
