Summary:The Geriatric Palliative Care: From Bench to Bedside and Back in 2017 symposium is highlighted. The purpose of this presentation is to identify and review recent research focusing on palliative care of older adults receiving long-term services and supports, and guide the audience in applying the literature to their patients and to the systems of care in which they treat patients, using practical takeaways. The settings of interest are tile entire continuum of care ranging from the community to assisted living to the nursing home, as well as acute and subacute care. The presenters utilize a modified Delphi method of screening and choosing publications that may impact the delivery of interdisciplinary palliative care over the coming year.
