Summary: | By analyzing 155 rural education nongovernmental organizations’ posting behavior on one of China’s largest social media platforms, Sina Weibo, we show that organizations with different backgrounds (government, corporate, grassroots, and student) behave differently. While organizational information technology capacity influences update frequency, organizational background influences the preference for informational, dialogic, or promotional posts. |
