Summary: | An abstract of a study by Denstadli et al expanding previous research by focusing on commute satisfaction as a primary determinant for individuals' satisfaction with work-family balance. Results are based on a case-study of knowledge-workers in a Norwegian finance and insurance company. Although knowledge workers constitute an increasing share of the workforce, one should be careful to generalize results to other labour groups. Likewise, the geographical context may have influenced results. |
