Summary:Conclusion: The elevated Ca19-9, the MUC-1 expression, the presence of chronic pancreatitis and familiar anamnestic data for malignant disease proved to be important prognostic factors increasing the malignant potential of the IPMNs. The survival rate of patients with IPMN associated with invasive carcinoma is significant lower with perineural invasion and lymph node involvement.
