Summary: | Background: Several factors are associated with outcome after curative resection; status of resection margin, lymph node status, tumor differentiation and clinic stage. On multivariate analysis, weight loss, perineural invasion, and undifferentiated grade were independent predictors of decreased survival (p = 0.017 HR= 1.78 IC 95% 1.1 - 2.8), (p = 0.048 HR= 1.75 IC 95% 1.0 - 3.0), (p = 0.007 HR= 1.90 IC 95% 1.9 - 3.0). |
