Description
Summary:The paper presents data on the chemical composition and mineral association of Pd-bearing galena, discovered in hydrothermal–metasomatic sulfide Cu–Ni ores of the Sedova Zaimka mineralization (Western Siberia). In the Sedova Zaimka mineralization, galena is an accessory mineral and occurs in association with pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, argentopentlandite, tsumoite, and native bismuth. The Pd contents in galena are 0.5–0.9 wt %. Palladium occurs in galena in the form of isomorphic impurities and is not related to microinclusions of Pd-bearing minerals.
