Summary: | An abstract of the study by Park et al evaluating the effects of an inoculant on the microbial community structure of 4 corn hybrids ensiled at low dry matter (DM) concentration, is discussed. Treatment design was the factorial combination of 4 corn hybrids (HYB) ensiled with (INO) and without (CON) inoculant. The results of the study revealed that epiphytic microbial composition differs depending on HYB and INO favored the dominance of the Lactobacillaceae, compared to a more diverse CON. |
